Wine -Glazed Cherry Tomatoes

These can be served alone or as a partner with Snow peas, green baby beans etc This recipe serves 8
Ingredients
- 6 Tbs butter Butter, without salt
- 2 Tbs sugar Sugars, granulated
- 1 tsp seasoned salt Salt, table
- 1/4 tsp pepper Spices, pepper, black
- 2 Tbs chopped fresh basil or 2 tsp dried Spices, basil, ground
- 1/2 cup red wine Alcoholic beverage, wine, table, red
- 1 1/2 lbs cherry tomatoes, stemmed and at room temperature Tomatoes, red, cherry, raw
Method
Step 1
In a medium skillet, melt butter, Stir in sugar, salt pepper, basil and wine. bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat and cook, uncovered until reduced by half, about 5 mins. Just before serving, stir in tomatoes and cook over high heat, tossing and turning until they are well glazed and heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately, spooning over any remaining glaze.
