Stately Steaks


The marinade can be done with T bones, Porterhouse or Ribeyes. I also believe that the marinade could be used for less tender steaks but marinade for 24 hours turning every 8 hours  This recipe serves 4


  • 4 10 oz rib eye or strip steaks ( 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Oil, olive, salad or cooking
  • 2 tsp garlic powder Spices, garlic powder
  • 2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper Spices, pepper, black
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce Soy sauce made from soy and wheat (shoyu), low sodium
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce Sauce, Worcestershire


Step 1

Rub steaks with olive oil ; sprinkle with garlic powder and pepper. Combine soy sauce and worcestershire sauce. Pour 3/4 of the soy sauce mixture on a shallow pan or heavy zip lock bag, add steaks. cover or seal . Chill 2 hours or longer, turning occassionally. Remove steaks from marinade, discard marinade. Grill, covered with the grill lid, over a medium high heat (350-400F)5 minutes orn each side or until desirwed doneness basting with the remaining sor sauce mixture.
