South Of The Border Dip2013-06-20
The first easy American version of Chili con Queso I tried and it is still good.
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbs margarine
- 1 pound package Velveeta mexican pasteurized process cheese spread, cubed
- 1 16 oz can tomatoes, drained and chopped
Saute onion in margarine. Add process cheese spread and tomatoes; stir until process cheese spread is melted. Simmer 10 minutes. Serve hot.
MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS:Microwave onion and margarine in 1 1/2 quart casserole or bowl on high 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add process cheese spread and tomatoes; mix well. Microwave on medium 9 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring every 3 minutes.
