Santa’s Dip ‘ N’ Veggies2013-06-20
A wonderful way to serve veggies and dip at Christmas!
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 Tbs grated onion
- 1 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
- lettuce leaves
- 4 cups cauliflower flowerets
- 3 pints cherry tomatoes
- 4 cups broccoli flowerets
- garnishes : carrot strips, raisins, green pepper triangles, cherry tomato slices
Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, grated onion, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt. Pour into a 6"diameter round bowl (not too deep) Cover and chill at least 3 hours.
Line a serving tray with lettuce leaves. Place dip on tray. Arrange cauliflower flowerets around dip to resemble beard and top of hat. Arrange cherry tomatoes for a hat.topped off by a cauliflower flowerlet for the fur ball.Fill in with broccoli flowerets.
Design a face on surface of dip using carrot strips for eyebrows, raisins for eyes, green pepper triangle for nose, and cherry tomato slices for cheeks and mouth.
Note. If in a hurry, any creamy prepared dressing can be used instead of making your own.
