Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice ( Uncle Ben's --Regular)
  • 2 cups water-- boiling Water, municipal
  • 2 tbsp each butter and canola oil
  • 1/2 cup diced and seeded tomatoes Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average
  • 2 cubes chicken bullion
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Onions, raw

Method

Step 1

Melt butter in frying pan and add oil. Saute onions until transparent. Add bouillon cubes to dissolve then add rice and stir for 2 or 3 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and boiling water and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is done.
