Ravioli Lasagna


This is done in the saucepan but I when I made it I used a casserole and the ravioli as lasagna noodles, layering the ravioli, ricotta and spaghetti sauce. I baked it.  This recipe serves 4


  • 2 cups light chunk-style spaghetti sauce
  • 1/3 cup water Water, municipal
  • 1 9oz pkg refrigerated meat or cheese filled ravioli
  • 1 large beaten eggs Egg, whole, raw, fresh
  • 1 15 oz fat free ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Romano cheese Parmesan cheese
  • 1 10 oz pkg chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • onions ( sauteed slightly), herbs and rough chopped spinach


Step 1

Combine spaghetti sauce and water in a 10 inch skillet; bring to boiling. Stir in ravioli. Cover and cook over medium heat about 5 mins. or until ravioli are nearly tender, stirring mixture once to prevent sticking. Combine egg, ricotta , onions herbs, spinach and other cheese. Dot ravioli with spinach. Spoon ricotta mixture atop. Cover and cook over low heat about 10 mins. more or until ricotta layer is set and pasta is just tender.
