Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (lean best)
- 1 large onion, chopped Onions, raw
- 1 package spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce Tomato products, canned, sauce
- 1/2 cup water Water, municipal
- 2 cups (8 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded Cheese, mozzarella, part skim milk
- 2 eggs Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 1 cup milk Milk, reduced fat, fluid, 2% milkfat, with added vitamin A
- 2 Tbs oil Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 cup flour Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached
- 1/4 tsp salt Salt, table
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated Cheese, parmesan, grated
Method
Step 1
Cook beef and onion in a large skillet until meat is browned, stirring to crumble meat; drain. Add sauce mix, tomato sauce and water, stirring well; simmer 10 mins. Spoon meat mixture into a 9X13" pan. sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Beat eggs, milk, and oil until foamy. Add flour and salt; beat until smooth. Pour batter over meat mixture, spreading evenly. Bake at 400 for 30 mins.
