Pineapple Ham loaf


 This recipe serves 8


  • ½ cup brown sugar Sugars, brown
  • 1 can sliced pineapples
  • 2 large eggs Egg, whole, raw, fresh
  • 1 ½ lbs precooked ham ---ground
  • 1 lb ground pork Pork, fresh, ground, raw
  • ¾ cup crushed Ritz style crackers
  • 1 tsp dry mustard Spices, mustard dry
  • 1 cup milk Milk, reduced fat, fluid, 2% milkfat, with added vitamin A
  • whole cloves Spices, cloves, whole
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream ---- whipped
  • 1/3 cup cooked salad dressing Salad dressing, mayonnaise type, regular, with salt
  • 1 tbs horseradish Horseradish, prepared


Step 1

Put the sugar and 2 tbsp. of pineapple juice in loaf pan. Put this in a 350F oven do not let burn. Meanwhile mix eggs, ham, pork, crackers, mustard, and milk. Remove pan from oven. Drain pineapple slices and insert cloves. Place pineapple slices clove side down in pan, cutting as needed to fit. pack the ham mixture on top and bake for 1 1/4 hours. Remove from oven and let stand for a few minnutes. Remove excess juicescarefully. Place platter ontop and unmould by flipping so the pineapple is on the top. Remove the cloves. Serve hot with the sauce made out of whipped cream, salad dressing and horseradish.
