Latin Quarter Cheese Spread

This is from a former restaurant in London Ontario Canada and although not modern it still disappears
Ingredients
- 1 lb medium cheddar cheese, grated
- 3/4 cup Latin Quarter Dressing (see recipe below)
- 2 Tbs horseradish
- dash tabasco sauce
- LATIN QUARTER DRESSING
- 1 large clove garlic, crushed
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 2 Tbs vegetable oil
- 2 Tbs malt vinegar
- 3 cups water
Method
Step 1
First make the Dressing. In a food processor process the grated cheese and remaining ingredients until fluffy. Refrigerate
Step 2
Latin Quarter Dressing: Combine all ingredients and refrigerate

A highlight of my student years at Western was to go for a beer at the Latin Quarter and have a zesty cheese bun. My boyfriend and I sat by the table with the cozy lamp and I devoured that delicious zesty cheese bun. I was devastated when the Latin Quarter closed and I have craved that delicious zesty cheese bun all these years. I am thrilled beyond belief to discover the recipe on line. Thank you a million for posting the recipe. It will take me back to all the happy memories at the Latin Quarter.
