Grandma Brown’s Butter Tarts

Ingredients
- ¼ Recipe of " Pastry for sweet pies & tarts OR regular pastry
- 1/3 cup butter Butter, without salt
- ½ cup brown sugar Sugars, brown
- ½ tsp vanilla Vanilla extract
- ½ cup corn syrup Syrups, corn, light
- 1/2-2/3 cup raisins- cover with Boiling water for 10 minutes then drain
- ¼ tsp salt Salt, table
- 1 large egg Egg, whole, raw, fresh
Method
Step 1
Melt butter & add all ingredients except egg. Mix thoroughly. Cool. Beat egg slightly & add to cooled butter mixture. Fill shells 3/4 full. Bake at 425F for 10+ mins depending on size. Cool completely and remove from tins, very carefully.
