Dried Beef Brunch

A do ahead casserole with a twist  This recipe serves

Ingredients

  • 16 slices white bread, buttered
  • 5-8 oz dried beef, rinsed well to remove some of the salt
  • 4 cups grated sharp cheese Sauce, NESTLE, CHEF-MATE Sharp Cheddar Cheese Sauce, ready-to-serve
  • 8 large eggs Egg, whole, raw, fresh
  • 1 quart milk ( homo is best)
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce Sauce, Worcestershire

Method

Step 1

Place 8 slices of bread,butter side down in a 9x13 pan. Cover with 1/2 the dried beef slices and 1/2 the cheese; then the remaining bread. top this bread with remaining beef and cheese in layers. In separate bowl, mix eggs, milk and worstershire. Blend well and then pour over bread mix. Refrigerate overnight. Next morning remove from the refrigerator and bake in a 300F oven for 1 hour. Let stand 5 mins before serving.
