Creamy Mashed Potatoes


A creamy potatoes delight that is a wonderful side dish to a traditional turkey dinner  This recipe serves


  • 8 large potatoes Potatoes, raw, flesh and skin
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions Onions, raw
  • 2 minced garlic cloves Garlic, raw
  • 4 oz Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter Butter, without salt
  • 1/4 cup half and half cream Cream, fluid, heavy whipping
  • salt and pepper to taste Peppers, sweet, red, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt


Step 1

Peel potatoes and place in pot of water, ensure water covers potatoes. Add onion and garlic, cover and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to a high simmer for 45 minutes or until potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork.Drain and return to pot. Add all remaining ingredients and blend with an electric mixer on medium until potatoes are fluffy. Let stand 5 minutes, serve hot.
