Creamy Hash Brown Casserole


 This recipe serves 8


  • 32 oz frozen hash browns, thawed McDONALD'S, Hash Browns
  • 16 oz American processed cheese, cubed
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup sour cream or yoghurt
  • 3/4 cup butter/margarine, melted/divided
  • 3 Tbs onion, chopped Onions, raw
  • 1/4 tsp paprika Spices, paprika
  • 2 cups corn flakes, slightly crushed Cornstarch
  • herbs, optional Tomato products, canned, sauce, with herbs and cheese


Step 1

In a large bowl, combine hash browns,cheese,soup,sour cream, 1/2 cup butter and onion. Spread into a greased 9x13x2in baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Combine corn flakes and remaining butter/margarine, sprinkle on top. Bake uncovered at 350 for 50-60 mins or til heated through. Garnish with herbs if desired
