Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1/3 lb side bacon, chopped
  • 2 Tbs flour Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached
  • 1 medium onion, sliced or chopped Onions, raw
  • 2 cups water, drained from potatoes Potatoes, mashed, dehydrated, prepared from granules with milk, water and margarine added
  • 3 cups cooked potatoes, `chopped
  • 1 cup canned corn Cornstarch
  • 3 cups scalded milk
  • salt and pepper Peppers, sweet, red, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt
  • 1 cup celery, chopped Celery, raw

Method

Step 1

Saute gently the bacon and onion. Add flour and blend well.

Step 2

Add water slowly,followed by potatoes,corn and milk. Season and heat to boiling

Step 3

Add celery. Cook 2-3 mins
