An interesting soup twist to a basic soup. Great to start a German theme dinner This recipe serves 8
- 1 quart rich beef consomme
- 1/2 lb cooked and drained sauerkraut Sauerkraut, canned, low sodium
- thin slices smoked german sausage
In a saucepan combine consomme and sauerkraut and simmer the soup for 1 hour.
Before serving, garnish the soup with heated thin sliced sausages
