Consomme Alsacienne Chateau Louise


An interesting soup twist to a basic soup. Great to start a German theme dinner  This recipe serves 8


  • 1 quart rich beef consomme
  • 1/2 lb cooked and drained sauerkraut Sauerkraut, canned, low sodium
  • thin slices smoked german sausage


Step 1

In a saucepan combine consomme and sauerkraut and simmer the soup for 1 hour.

Step 2

Before serving, garnish the soup with heated thin sliced sausages
