Chocolate Macadamia Freezer Pie


 This recipe serves


  • 1¼ cups crushed chocolate wafers
  • 2 cups finely chopped macadamia nuts, divided Nuts, macadamia nuts, raw
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted Butter, without salt
  • 1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar, divided Sugars, granulated
  • 1 cup (6 oz) semi sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla Vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream Cream, fluid, heavy whipping


Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the wafer crumbs, ½ cup nuts and butter. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 350F for 8 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and ½ cup sugar until smooth. Add chocolate and vanilla; mix well. Stir in remaining nuts. In another mixing bowl, beat cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold into the chocolate mixture. Spoon into crust. Cover and freeze for several hours or overnight. Remove from the freezer 30 minutes before serving
