Chili Nuts Santa Fe

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 Tbs frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbs chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups peanuts or mixed nuts

Method

Step 1

Heat oven to 325F. Combine egg white, orange juice concentrate, sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, red pepper, celery salt, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Stir in nuts; toss to coat.

Step 2

Line a 15X10X1-inch pan with foil; spray with non stick spray; Spread nuts on foil.

Step 3

Bake for 20 minutes, stirring twice. Cool, break apart any large clusters.

Step 4

Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to one week
