Chicken Casserole #1


 This recipe serves 6


  • 6 halves chicken breast, no skin, no bone, R-T-C, boned and skinned Chicken, broilers or fryers, breast, meat only, raw
  • 1 box uncle ben's long and wild rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth Soup, chicken broth, canned, prepared with equal volume water, commercial
  • 1 cup sour cream Cream, sour, cultured
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Soup, cream of mushroom, canned, condensed, commercial
  • 1/4 can milk Milk, reduced fat, fluid, 2% milkfat, with added vitamin A
  • salt and pepper Peppers, sweet, red, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt
  • oil, to brown Cereals, QUAKER, Instant Oatmeal, DINOSAUR EGGS with DINOSAUR BONES, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, prepared with boiling water


Step 1

Brown chicken pieces on all sides in oil. Pour contents of box into greased casserole. Stir in broth Place on top of rice. Bake covered for 1 1/4 hour at 350F Combine sour cream, soup and milk. Pour over chicken and bake again uncovered till bubbly
