Candle Salad — Three meals a day

Ingredients

  • whole bananas Bananas, raw
  • lettuce leaves Lettuce, looseleaf, raw
  • canned sliced pineapple Pineapple, canned, juice pack, solids and liquids
  • maraschino cherries Cherries, Maraschino, canned, heavy syrup
  • green pepper Peppers, sweet, green, raw
  • salad dressing
  • Options
  • Ham salad, chicken salad or cottage cheese

Method

Step 1

Arrange leaves of lettuce on a salad plate. Top with a slice of pineapple. Cut banana in half crosswise, peel and trim to fit the hole of pineapple.

Step 2

Make a notch in the top of the banana and insert a piece of cherry to make flame. A drop of salad dressing on the side resembles wax. Cut green pepper in such a way to make a handle and place on the pineapple
