Breakfast/Luncheon Casserole


Great for those times when guests or family arrive as a surprise. Look in the pantry and the refrigerator for ideas  This recipe serves


  • 12 slices bread (White looks best and slightly stale is good)
  • 6-8 slices cheese ( your choice --- Cheddar, Swiss, Monterey jack etc)
  • 2 7oz tins crab, shrimp, chicken or ham , Drained and broken into pieces
  • 4 LARGE eggs Egg, whole, raw, fresh
  • 2 1/2 cups milk ---Homo milk is best but 2% milk works well
  • salt and pepper Peppers, sweet, red, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt
  • 1 tsp worster sauce


Step 1

Butter casserole. Lay 6 slices on the bottom of the casserole. Top with cheese slices, then crab or the other meat. Spread remaining slices of bread with butter or flavoured mayonnaise and place on top. Beat eggs well and add remaining ingredients. Bake 350F for 1 hour.
