Appetizer Pate Cheesecake

Testing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed plain croutons
  • 3 Tbs margarine, melted
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 8 oz package braunschweiger of liver sausage
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbs chopped pimientos
  • 2 Tbs grated onion
  • 1 Tbs prepared mustard (use Dijon)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Method

Step 1

Combine crouton crumbs and margarine and press into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

Step 2

Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes

Step 3

Soften Gelatine in water and stir over low heat until dissolved. Combine cream cheese and braunschweiger, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Gradually add gelatin. Stir in remaining ingredients until blended. Pour over crust. Chill until firm

Step 4

Remove from pan and serve with crackers or bread
