A Breakfast or Supper Dish British in origin. Like Yorkshire Pudding/Popovers on top of sausages  This recipe serves

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached
  • 1/2 tsp salt Salt, table
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder Leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
  • 1 cup milk Milk, reduced fat, fluid, 2% milkfat, with added vitamin A
  • 2 large eggs, well beaten Egg, whole, raw, fresh
  • 1 lb sausages Sausage, turkey, Italian
  • bacon or beef fat

Method

Step 1

Combine dry ingredients and milk. Beat well. Add well-beaten eggs. Again beat mixture well. Have 1 tablespoon fat in hot muffin tins or pyrex ramekins.

Step 2

Place 2 sausages , cut in half in each tin. Pour batter over these and bake in a hot oven at 475' for 10 mins, reduce heat to 350' for 20 mins to complete baking
