Spiked Consomme

Ingredients

  • 3 10oz cans undiluted consomme
  • 1 soup can water Water, municipal
  • 3/4 cup V-8® vegetable juice
  • 3/4 cup dry or cream sherry, 3/4" thick
  • 3/4 tsp sugar Sugars, granulated
  • Sour cream (optional) Cream, sour, cultured

Method

Step 1

Place all ingredients but the sour cream in a saucepan.

Step 2

Bring to a boil, then simmer for a couple of minutes to blend the flavours.

Step 3

Top each serving with a tablespoon of sour cream if you wish
