This recipe serves 8
- 3 10oz cans undiluted consomme
- 1 soup can water Water, municipal
- 3/4 cup V-8® vegetable juice
- 3/4 cup dry or cream sherry, 3/4" thick
- 3/4 tsp sugar Sugars, granulated
- Sour cream (optional) Cream, sour, cultured
Place all ingredients but the sour cream in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, then simmer for a couple of minutes to blend the flavours.
Top each serving with a tablespoon of sour cream if you wish
