Spicy Pecans

Not just another dish of nuts
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 Tbs vegetable oil
- 1/8 tsp hot sauce
- 6 small bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- fresh bay leaves
Method
Step 1
Combine pecan halves, vegetable oil and hot sauce in a large heavy duty zip top bag; Shake well. Add 6 bay leaves and next 6 ingredients, shaking well.
Step 2
Spread pecan mixture evenly into a 15X10X1-inch jellyroll pan. Bake at 325F for 30 minutes stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Step 3
Remove and discard bay leaves. Store pecans in an airtight container. Garnish if desired
