Rotini with Creamy Tomato Herb Sauce


Use this on a night when you have not time to prepare. The sauce can be prepared in the time it takes to cook the pasta.  This recipe serves


  • 1 tbsp oil Oil, olive, salad or cooking
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 28 gram (3½cups) canned tomatoes, pureed
  • ¼ tsp pepper Spices, pepper, black
  • 1 113g/4oz pkg herbed cream cheese
  • ¾ lb rotini/penne
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese Cheese, parmesan, grated
  • Fresh chopped basil and parsley to garnish


Step 1

Place onion and tomatoes and pepper in a pan. Simmer 12-15 minutes. Add cream cheese. Mix to incorporate using a whisk. Boil rotini/penne per package instructions. Drain. Toss with sauce . Serve topped with cheese and fresh herbs
