Pear and Cherry Cocktail

A great summer refreshing starter from the 1940s
Ingredients
- 2 cups diced canned pears drained
- 1 Tbs lemon juice
- 1/2 cup pear syrup
- 1 cup wild cherry jelly cubes
- marachino cherries
Method
Step 1
Combine pears and lemon juice. Chill well.
Step 2
Colour pear syrup green. Just before serving, combne all ingredients and pile in sherbet glasses. Top with red cherries
Step 3
Note: To make wild cherry cubes, you simply prepare jello in usual way. Pour into a shallow pa. Allow to set and cut into cubes.
