Pastry for Sweet pies and Tarts

Similar to my favourite one but sweeter for Sweet pies etc This recipe serves
Ingredients
- 1 lb lard Lard
- 5 cups all purpose flour Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached
- 1 tsp baking powder Leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
- 1 tsp salt Salt, table
- 1 Tbs sugar Sugars, granulated
- 1 large egg --well beaten, add water to make 3/4cup
- 1 1/2 Tbs vinegar Vinegar, white
- 1 tsp vanilla Vanilla extract
Method
Step 1
Cut lard into dry ingredients with a pastry cutter or 2 knives to the texture of cornmealCombine all liquids and add to dry ingredients just to blend. DO NOT OVER MIX!!!!Chill before rolling out
