This is very easy but good. I got this from a friend whose name I can remember but I thank her for it. This recipe serves
Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 lb ground beef Beef, ground, lean, (approximately 21% fat), raw
- 1 large onion, chopped Onions, raw
- 2 cups diced carrot Carrots, raw
- 2 cups diced celery Celery, raw
- 1 cup water, to dissolve bouillon granules
- 1/2 cup instant bouillon granules Soup, beef broth or bouillon canned, ready-to-serve
- 1 can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained Beans, kidney, red, mature seeds, canned
- 1 can white kidney beans, rinsed and drained Beans, kidney, white (cannellini)
- 2 cups cooked pasta (macaroni, small shells, ditalini)
- 6 cups chunky pasta sauce (48oz) Sauce, pasta, spaghetti/marinara, ready-to-serve
- 2 tsp oregano Spices, oregano, ground
- 1 tsp black pepper Spices, pepper, black
- 3 Tbs chopped parsley Parsley, raw
- 1 tsp Tabasco Sauce, ready-to-serve, pepper, TABASCO
Method
Step 1
Heat oil on a medium high heat and saute beef till not pink (5 Mins). Add onion,carrots and celery. Simmer 10 mins.
Step 2
Put hot water in bowl and dissolve bouillon granules. Add to meat with the onions and spices and chunky pasta sauce.
Step 3
Simmer 10 mins. Add 1 quart water or to desired consistency. Stir in beans and pasta just before serving
