Olive Cheese Puffs2013-06-20

Wonderful version of a coated olive.
- 24 ripe olives, pitted
- green onion, slivered
- 1/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated (1 cup)
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup sifted all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
5 Hours ahead; stuff olives with slivers of scallions or green onion. Blend cheese with butter; stir in flour, salt, paprika; mix well.
Mould 1 teaspoon of the dough around each olive covering it completely. Arrange on ungreased baking sheet and refrigerate.
About 30 minutes before serving; Start heating oven to 400F. Bake puffs 10-15 minutes; serve warm or cold
You could use stuffed green olives or a mixture of both.
