Brie And Herb Cheese In Pastry

  • 1 10X9 sheet frozen puff pastry sheet or 12 buttered filo sheets, thawed
  • 1 14 oz wheel Brie cheese
  • 2 4 oz garlic herb semi soft cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbs water


Step 1

On non stick baking sheet, place pastry (roll out if necessary). Place brie in center and spread top with 1 package of the soft cheese. Turn over and top new top with remaining soft cheese. Bring pastry up and around to cover completely, trimming as necessary and pinching to seal well. If using puff pastry, turn over and decorate with pastry scraps. If using filo gather around the top. Can be done 1 day ahead, cover and refrigerate.

Step 2

Bring to room temperature before baking. Do an egg wash and brush the top. Bake in 375F preheated oven 30-35 minutes or until brown. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm
