Baked Moroccan Lamb Chops


 This recipe serves 4


  • 1 tsp ground cumin Spices, cumin seed
  • 2 cloves garlic,chopped Garlic, raw
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Lemon juice, raw
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley Parsley, raw
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander Spices, coriander seed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Oil, olive, salad or cooking
  • 8 lamb loin chops ---1" thick trimmed Lamb, Australian, imported, fresh, leg, sirloin chops, boneless, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 1/8" fat, raw
  • salt and pepper Peppers, sweet, red, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt


Step 1

Combine cumin,garlic,lemon juice,parsley, coriander and oil in a bowl. Brush onto both sides of chops and season with salt and pepper. Marinate 30-40 mins while you prepare the rest of the meal Preheat oven to 500F. Place chops on a baking sheet. Place in oven and leave for 3 minutes. Turn oven off and leave lamb chops for 15 mins for rare, 25 mins for medium. Do not open oven Remove from oven and serve with the rest of meal
